Mamiya C330 Body Features
|
Lens change baffle in down position. The rear of
the lens element is visible as the bellows are
retracted. Note the textured surface. The red dot
for aligning the film on loading is visible on
the lower right guide rail. (C330 pictured)

|
Pressure plate / film counter linkage. This
linkage moves according to the position of the
pressure plate (120 or 220 film), and presses the
matching body lever when set to 220.

C330 showing the body linkage that controls the
120/220 film counter. This is the chrome lever to
the right of the twin back catch hooks at the top
of the frame.

|
C330 showing the inside of the mirror box with
the screen removed. The reflection of the rear of
the viewing lens is at the centre. The red 'L'
shape at the lower left is the reflection of the
lens baffle (unlock) flag. The chrome 'L' is the
reflection of the parallax indicator. Both of
these are actually near the top left of the
picture.
|
|
C330 underside of No.1 screen. The framework
holding the matt focus screen in place can be
seen, along with the dark line of foam.
|
|
|
Base of the C330 showing the standard 1/4" tripod
socket insert in the 3/8" socket. Also visible
are the two locating lug recesses used to locate
accessories on all Mamiya medium format cameras.
|
|
Distance scale on the C330 using the original
105mm scale. Note that the shutter moves left
towards infinity while the scale does not move.
The 105mm lens has been set on the multi-function
control at the top of the picture. The outer ring
moves the red index mark. This setting controls
the automatic parallax compensation and exposure
correction marker in the viewfinder.
|
|
|
The focus scale for a short focal length
with the lens racked out
beyond infinity so the shutter is fully
retracted. Since the shutter is sprung closed, a
failure with this part causes the scale to
disappear. Long lenses use the front of the body to
index the scale, so they are never obscured.

This is David G.'s modified C330s. The DB-25 connector links to a
light-emitting diode array just in front of the film as well as
a potentiometer (purpose uncertain). More pictures at

This is NOT a standard C330 series camera!
